Organization details
Set your organization's name, website, EIN, time zone, and address. Used on donation forms, emails, and PDF receipts.
By the end of this guide, you'll have your organization's details and address set in GiveForms. This information appears on donation form footers, transactional emails, and PDF receipts.
Before you begin
You'll need an Admin role in GiveForms.
Have your organization's website URL, EIN (if applicable), full mailing address, and primary time zone ready.
Steps
1. Open Organization Settings
Go to Settings → Organization.
2. Fill in Organization Details
Complete the following fields:
- Organization Name (required) — Your nonprofit's legal name. This appears on receipts and emails.
- Website URL (required) — Your organization's website.
- EIN (optional) — Your IRS-issued Employer Identification Number.
- Time Zone — Set this to your organization's primary time zone. Defaults to UTC, which means donation timestamps in your dashboard will be off until you change it.
3. Fill in Organization Address
Enter your nonprofit's mailing address:
- Address Line 1 (required)
- Address Line 2 (optional)
- Suite, Unit, or PO Box (optional)
- City (required)
- State (required)
- Zip Code (required)
- Country (required)
4. Save
Click Save at the bottom right of the page.
Where this information appears
Once saved, these details automatically populate across:
- Donation form footers
- Transactional emails (thank-yous, receipts, recurring notifications)
- The header of PDF gift receipts
Updating your organization details here updates them everywhere they appear. You don't need to update each campaign or email template separately.
A note on time zone
Time zone determines how donation timestamps display throughout the admin — in the Activity Dashboard, exports, and email logs. If left at the default UTC, a donation made at 9 AM Eastern will show as 1 PM (or 2 PM during daylight saving) on your dashboard. Set this once, correctly, and don't worry about it again.
