ACH Direct Debit is moving to Stripe

GiveForms is switching ACH processing from Plaid to Stripe's first-party integration. Stripe is deprecating their Plaid partnership in favor of their own ACH flow, so we're making the move ahead of the deadline.

What you need to do
‍
Nothing. The switch is automatic. Existing recurring ACH plans continue uninterrupted, and there are no changes to your forms, reports, or integrations.

What changes for donors
‍
The bank authorization flow is moving from Plaid to Stripe. When a donor selects ACH, they'll sign into their bank through Stripe's hosted flow and accept a debit authorization mandate (required by Nacha), and automatically confirmed via email. Donors who prefer not to sign in can enter their account details manually and verify with microdeposits.

Fees
‍
No change to your GiveForms pricing. Stripe's first-party ACH runs on the same underlying rate structure, so cost per donation stays the same. Settlement timing improves slightly: 4 business days (vs 5), with faster 2 business day settlement available for eligible accounts.
